Sometimes you just don’t know which products to buy. It all starts with the baby registry. You have no idea what to add to the list or to order with all those extra gift cards. You’ll find it doesn’t end there. From school supplies to children’s toys, you end up wasting money on products you don’t really need! So, I’m sharing with you my favorite 3 parenting tools worth their weight in gold.

A Visual Time
No parent likes to be the bad guy. And that’s exactly who you become when you put an end to playtime. A simple visual timer can solve this problem. It gives even the youngest of children a way to understand the [dreaded] “countdown.” And when the buzzer goes off, it’s time to move on. My absolute favorite positive parenting tool is to “blame the clock”. I commiserate with my children about the end of the fun activities, but our schedule (and the clock) are the boss!
Cozi Family Organizer
I was skeptical about Cozi. I had failed at keeping myself organized with other apps, including the oft-suggested Google Calendar. But when we added an au pair to our family, I knew I had to figure out how to keep our family organized.
At the suggestion of another au pair family, I downloaded Cozi. I was instantly hooked. I am able to easily maintain schedules for each person in our family, including our childcare schedule.
This app is perfect if you’re looking for co-parenting communication tools. Each family member can add items to the shopping list, add events, and more. It’s feature-packed with a super user-friendly interface. And the best part? It has a forever free version!
Labels for Everything
Put away your Sharpie. Stop buying extra “just in case” pairs of mittens. Get these labels. From iron-on clothing labels to waterproof stick-on labels, these little labels will help your lost items find their way back home. For my family, this tiny investment has saved us boatloads. Pants do not go missing at preschool anymore, and our expensive eco-friendly kids’ water bottles never wind up in the lost-and-found.
Whether you’re just looking to save some money on replacing lost kid’s items, or searching for the perfect co-parenting communication tools, these are totally worth checking out! Do you have any parenting tools you cannot live without? Share them below in the comments!
